For the month of October Strike Industries is doing a Glock themed month the company affectionately calls Glocktober. During Glocktober Strike Industries will be unveiling and releasing new Glock products and accessories.

At Triggrcon 2019, in Bellevue Strike teased the release of their compensator for Glocktober. Now, it is finally here the Strike Industries Mass Driver Compensator.

What is awesome about this new compensator is that you don’t need a threaded barrel, it’s 50 state legal, no need for special holsters, and no permanent modifications is done to your firearm.  Which is dope. It also comes in at an amazing price which we will get to later.

When it comes to how it works, product overview, and features I will leave that to Strike to explain. (To be honest they have a better way to explain than I have.)

How it Works

The Strike Industries Mass Driver Compensator represents a quantum leap in compensator design. The Mass Driver Compensator is driven by the hot gasses expelled through the barrel after the round is discharged, and acts as a counter balance system to attenuate mechanical recoil.

Product Overview

The Strike Industries Mass Driver compensator represents a quantum leap in compensator design. Current designs have largely been unchanged since the 1930s. It’s about time for something revolutionary. The Mass Driver name is inspired by the idea of theoretical mass driver engines in space travel. By ejecting mass, an equal and opposite reaction is generated propelling the space vehicle forward. The Mass Driver Compensator is driven by the hot gasses expelled through the barrel after the round is discharged, and acts as a counter balance system to attenuate mechanical recoil. Barrel mounted compensators add reciprocating mass and increase the moment of inertia to the operating system, which can have a negative effect on reliable cycling of recoil operated handguns. By separating the compensator from the operating components after ignition, the MD comp allows for close to stock cyclic speeds, and reduces reciprocating mass.

Features

• No threaded barrel needed

• Matches with width of the slide, it can be used with open holsters, no special holster needed

• counter recoil design, as the slide moves back the comp moves forward to reduce felt recoil

• Eliminates the need for threaded barrels. 50 State Legal

• Blended, no snag profile

• Precision CNC machined

• No permanent modification of weapon required

• Contours with slide dimensions to be compatible with most open-bottom holsters

Strike Industries is a firearm manufacturer who is known for thinking outside of the box. That philosophy continues with the MD Compensator.

The Mass Driver Compensator is an Primary Arms exclusive product. It is not sold through Strike Industries official website. The MD for the G17/19 Gen 3 will cost you $79.99 on Primary Arms. Which is a steal and a deal for a pistol compensator.
