Last year, Flux Defense introduces the firearms community to the Flux Defense MP17. Which turned your M17/18 or P320 into a PDW platform. Giving the users the ability to handle diverse tactical situations that they couldn’t with a normal pistol. Flux Defense engineers and designers took that feedback from the Special Operations community and went back to the lab. After spending time in the lab Flux created the next evolutionary step: The Flux Raider.
The new Raider by Flux Defense is smaller, lighter, and stronger than its predecessor. The new Raider features the same drop-in feature as the original MP17. Just drop your fire control group into the Raider chassis. Mount your slide and your ready to go.
The Raider is lighter and stronger than its predecessor. Featuring a new injection-molded polymer, chrome moly steel, a black nitride finish for maritime operations, and the chassis weighs in at a merger 18oz. Full assembly the Raider only weighs in at 40 oz.
The biggest changes to the Raider come from the design of the chassis. The new chassis features: enhanced ergonomics, flared magwells, a new slide release, ambidextrous safety, a dual magazine release system, improved optic height, 2x QD sling mounts, and a spare battery compartment just to name a few.
Flux Defense goal with the Raider was to create a meaner and stronger chassis with a thoughtful design to enhance the experience of the orginial MP17. Giving Special Operations, law enforcement, and civilians a PDW that is tailored to fit to meet their diverse needs and challenges.
The new MP17 Raider retails at $459.99 on Flux Defense website. The original MP17 retails at $399.99, making the new Raider only $60 dollars more.
